The ol' "IRONS"

Now we all know that the Axe and Halligan bar together are called "Irons" but I'm sure in many other places there are different names being used. All in all these tools are a foundation in my opinion as a back seat firefighter used to pry doors, break windows, sound floors, breach through walls and so much more. Now lets talk a little about the names of these pieces of equipment.

Halligan - On one end you have two post sticking out perpendicular of each other. On one side you have a Wedge, Some call it your ("ADZ") and on the other you have your pointy end ("Pike"). On the other side of your Halligan you have what people call the ("Forks") as they are shaped as a two pronged fork. Do note that everything on this equipment has a purpose for something.

Now we get into the Axe; There are different types of axes but we will use the two most common. The flat head axe - Great for striking and working hand in hand with the Halligan bar. The other is the Pick-headed axe - Great for piercing through walls, roofs  and such.

Does anyone call these by different names? is there any way you use them that you would like to share? Please leave a comment if you thought this piece was too short or too long or any critiques.
